ECOMMERCE AND RETAIL PR AND DIGITAL MARKETING AGENCY
At Pretzel, we are data-driven marketing experts with the creative touch needed to break through in the e-commerce and retail arenas.
Ecommerce & Retail PR & Marketing
No matter how beautifully crafted the products, or how well-known a company, as an ecommerce or retail brand in a crowded marketplace, you can be sure that if you don’t occupy the dedicated interiors pages in national magazines and newspapers, your competitors will. That’s why retail PR is so important and can play a pivotal role in driving revenue.
Home interest brands need to support their marketing strategy with a mix of product placement PR and brand awareness tactics. A one-off advertising campaign won’t get the prolonged exposure you need to increase sales; a continuous push of relevant products to hit key seasons and news hooks, underpinned with informative advice features, will.
Pretzel’s ecommerce and retail team has years of experience working in the home interest sector. We’ve spent time and effort cultivating relationships with interiors journalists. We live by the rule that great contacts, equals great coverage.
Pretzel can help to identify new interior trends and make sure you’re at the forefront of journalists’ minds when they write about them. We’ll assist you in co-creating gorgeous lifestyle photography that’s bang on brief for the home interest media. And we’ll manage your sample log, ensuring you get the column inches or clicks promised in return for products gifted. The results will speak for themselves.
Pretzel was brought on board to help ARRAN Sense of Scotland (formerly ARRAN Aromatics) to communicate its new brand proposition and support its digital marketing strategy. The brief focused on creating an efficient product press office that would grow awareness of the new brand, while generating sales for its new and existing product range.
Another key objective was to raise awareness of Glenashdale, the brand’s second best-selling home fragrance.
Pretzel set about creating a schedule of content to hit all key calendar dates. Gifting for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas was a priority.
We focused on the brand’s expertise in crafting unique home fragrances right here in the UK. Media relations was underpinned with a blogger outreach strategy to cherry pick the best content creators to fit the brand’s vision.
The result? We generated 500 pieces of coverage with 638 links in 2021. The average domain authority was 39.
Bella, Best, Red, Closer, The Sun, Yahoo, Daily Mail, Heart, Saga, The Daily Record, House Beautiful and My Weekly were just some of the national titles that featured the brand.
The Glenashdale range also appeared in 120 titles.

We approached Pretzel, with an ambition of upping our reach and raising our profile within the press. The team did not disappoint. As a charity, with most staff working on part time hours and working remotely, we needed someone who could meet us, quickly understand us, and then independently act in our best interests. Pretzel delivered on every goal we set out and we have continued to work with them long after our initial project. Lucy Harding, Marketing Manager at The Proud Trust

ARRAN Sense of Scotland (www.arran.com) approached Pretzel to bolster its digital footprint, increase brand awareness of luxury products, improve key SEO terms and increase market share, in a very competitive sector. Through a mix of traditional and digital PR we set out to achieve these goals. We more than impressed, with daily coverage continuing to this day – ARRAN now has a very strong presence both on and offline.
